Deepak Sharma is an internationally respected aerospace executive, entrepreneur, and thought leader. As the Founder and CEO of AFL Aircraft Finance Lease Ltd, he stands at the forefront of global aviation financing—designing agile solutions that serve the evolving needs of aircraft and engine lessors worldwide.

Since launching AFL in 2019, Deepak has led the company to become a trusted partner to leading aviation stakeholders, bringing strategic clarity and commercial excellence to a complex and fast-changing industry. His leadership is grounded in more than two decades of experience, including over 10 years in senior executive roles where he has driven growth in some of the most dynamic and demanding markets.

Prior to founding AFL, Deepak held several high-impact leadership roles:

• President, Integrated Solutions, where he expanded portfolios and introduced cutting-edge services across global aviation markets.
  
• Chief Technical Officer, AJW Group, where he led transformational projects across the organization.
  
• Engineering Director, UK International Airlines, where he launched the airline’s engineering division and received formal recognition for his contributions.
  

His early career at British Aerospace and Brymon Airways Engineering (British Airways subsidiary) laid a solid technical foundation, refining his expertise in engineering, operations, and aviation strategy.

Deepak holds a degree in Aircraft Engineering, multiple EASA certifications, and advanced qualifications in contract law, business administration, and aviation management. A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), he continues to be a respected authority and mentor within the global aerospace community.
